Lyrics
The Mirror
The eye is the lamp of the body, if your eyes are good your whole body will be full of light. But, if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. When you look in the mirror…what do you see?
I took a long look in the mirror, so I could see into my soul
I saw my past and viewed my future, though now in part, later in whole
And I saw my good times and my bad ones, I saw my joys and sorrows too
Then once again I saw that mirror, And deep inside my fear it grew
Because I didnt’ see..YOU
I didn’t see…YOU
I didn’t see…YOU (I never saw you) (I never saw you)
I didn’t see…YOU (I never saw you) (I never saw you)
So I cried and said Lord, Please forgive me!
And I’d surrender all to you
And as the blood fell it had cleansed me
And in my heart I felt brand new
Cuz I could fell Christ deep inside
He’d nevery leave me this I knew
Then once again I saw that mirror
But this time an image came in view… And God!
That’s when I saw you (that’s when I saw you, that’s when I saw you)
That’s when I saw you (that’s when I saw you, that’s when I saw you)
That’s when I saw you (that’s when I saw you, that’s when I saw you)
That’s when I saw you (that’s when I saw you, that’s when I saw you)
That’s when I saw you (that’s when I saw you, that’s when I saw you)
That’s when I saw you (that’s when I saw you, that’s when I saw you)
That’s when I saw you (that’s when I saw you, that’s when I saw you)
That’s when I saw you (that’s when I saw you, that’s when I saw you)
That’s when I saw you (that’s when I saw you, that’s when I saw you)
The reflection that I saw, never saw that look before
I know it wasn’t me
Cuz my eyes were all aflamed but I didn’t feel no pain
I know it wasn’t me
See my hair was white as snow and my hands were white as snow
I know it wasn’t me
And my face was like the sun, I know it was your son
Because it wasn’t me
The reflection that I saw, never saw that look before
I know it wasn’t me
Cuz my eyes were all aflamed but I didn’t feel no pain
I know it wasn’t me
See my hair was white as snow and my hands were white as snow
I know it wasn’t me
And my face was like the sun, I know it was your son
Because it wasn’t me
That’s when I saw you
Oh Lord, I saw you
I know it wasn’t me
No no no no no
I know it was you
I know it wasn’t me
Because it wasn’t me
The Comforter
The Comforter
Lord, I know it’s not your plan that I’d be all alone
And I know it not your will that I’d be on my own
So I want to thank you for what you have given me
Just a little piece of you to live inside of me
Now every fruit that’s of the Spirit lives within my soul
And every day is so much sweeter cuz you’re in control
But I don’t mind because I find life’s better than before
And every day I’ll give you praise and thank You for
The Comforter the Counselor
The one who guides me when there is no open door
Who teaches me so that I may become mature
And intercedes for things that I’ve been longing for
And I thank you for my Teacher and my Guide
Who comforts me when I feel pain inside
Who counsels me when I don’t know what’s right
I thank you for what you put in my life….
The Comforter
Now every morning when I go I know you are with me
And when I utter words unknown that’s when you speak through me
Though I don’t know the word I say I still can feel their might
Because you pray the perfect prayer that’s needed for my life
So send me Lord and I will go and do your will
I’ll teach the gospel, free the slave and heal the ill
Until I find the destiny my life is headed for
And on the way I’ll stop and pray and yes I’ll thank you for
The Comforter the Counselor
The one who guides me when there is no open door
Who teaches me so that I may become mature
And intercedes for things that I’ve been longing for
And I thank you for my Teacher and my Guide
Who comforts me when I feel pain inside
Who counsels me when I don’t know what’s right
I thank you for what you put in my life….
The Comforter
Now I never look for help because you’re standing by
And you’ll never leave my life until the day I die
And even then I know I’ll win because you’ll usher me
Into the presence of the one who gave his life to me
But until that day comes I will live victoriously
And I will move each mountain on my way to victory
And I don’t mind because I find I’m stronger than before
And every day I give you praise and yes I thank you for
The Comforter the Counselor
The one who guides me when there is no open door
Who teaches me so that I may become mature
And intercedes for things that I’ve been longing for
And I thank you for my Teacher and my Guide
Who comforts me when I feel pain inside
Who counsels me when I don’t know what’s right
I thank you for what you put in my life….
The Comforter
Comforter, comforter, my comforter
Comforter, comforter, yeah
Teacher, teacher, teacher
Teacher, teacher, teacher
